Up until 1991 lee had spent his working life as a fabricator welder in a jobbing shop environment and experienced a whole range of projects in the industry sector , specialising in stainless steel and nickel alloys such as inconel hastelloy etc. At least four of those years was spent specialising in tubular fabrication . This is where the cross over to motorcycle chassis building took place . After a brief cycle touring expedition in France and Spain 1993 saw the beginning of steelheart engineering, it has been growing steadily ever since producing numerous show winning & cover bikes . Tools and techniques are constantly evolving , as well as the products which have a unique steelheart style . Now being recognised by the more discerning specials builders around the world.
